Shopify stores that convert

Shopify is the easiest way to get a real ecommerce store online. Most Toronto DTC brands start with a Shopify starter theme and a $200 logo, then wonder why the conversion rate is stuck at 1%.

I build Shopify stores that don't look like every other Shopify store. Custom theme work, app integrations done right, checkout flows that don't leak customers, and product pages that actually sell.

What I build

  • Custom Shopify themes — Liquid, Dawn-based or full custom builds, not just toggling settings
  • Theme customization — modify an existing theme to match your brand and conversion goals
  • Product page optimization — better galleries, variant selectors, upsells, trust signals
  • App integrations — Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, Reviews, ShipStation, etc.
  • Checkout extensions — post-purchase upsells, custom fields, fraud filters
  • Page speed fixes — Liquid minification, image optimization, app audit
  • Store migrations — WooCommerce to Shopify, Magento to Shopify, BigCommerce to Shopify

What it costs

Custom Shopify builds in Toronto usually land between $3,000 and $12,000. A clean theme customization on an existing store is closer to $1,500 to $3,000. A full custom build with checkout extensions lands higher.

I also take hourly work at $50 CAD for smaller jobs — a homepage redesign, a product page rework, a speed audit, or fixing a checkout that's been broken for weeks.

How it works

  1. Free audit. Send me your store URL. I'll send back a short PDF with what I see — what's broken, what's costing you sales, and what the work would cost.
  2. Quote + scope. Fixed price, fixed timeline. You see the line items before signing.
  3. Build. Two to four weeks for most projects. Weekly updates so you know what's done and what's next.
  4. Ship + handover. Store goes live. You get a walkthrough of what changed and why, plus 30 days of free fixes.

Why Shopify over WooCommerce

Shopify handles the boring infrastructure (hosting, security, PCI compliance, tax) so you can focus on the actual business. WooCommerce makes sense when you need something Shopify can't do — heavy custom catalogs, complex pricing, multi-vendor setups.

For most DTC brands doing under $5M in annual revenue, Shopify is the better choice. Less maintenance, fewer surprises, and the conversion tooling has matured a lot in the last three years.

Common questions

Do you only work with Toronto Shopify brands?

Most of my Shopify clients are in Toronto, but I work with anyone who's a fit. I've shipped stores for US and Canadian DTC brands. Communication is async, projects are scoped tightly, time zones don't matter.

Can you keep my existing theme?

Yes — most of my Shopify work is theme customization, not full rebuilds. If your theme works and just needs to look better, that's the cheaper route.

Do you do Shopify Plus?

For most small and mid-size brands, regular Shopify is enough. Shopify Plus makes sense when you're doing $5M+ in revenue, need multiple storefronts, or want the deeper checkout customization. I can refer you to Plus specialists if that's where you are.

Can you migrate me from WooCommerce?

Yes. I've done WooCommerce-to-Shopify migrations. Products, customers, orders, redirects — all handled. I use Shopify's official migration tools plus a custom 301 redirect map so you don't lose SEO.
